- Relative clause গুলো সাধারণত Relative pronoun (যেমন: that, who, whose, whom, which, why, when) ইত্যাদি দ্বারা শুরু হয়।
- তবে মনে রাখতে হবে, who এবং which দ্বারা গঠিত clause টি যদি Cause or Purpose বোঝায় তবে সেটি Adverbial Clause হিসেবে বিবেচিত হবে।

• Linking verb:
- Linking verb -এর শাব্দিক অর্থ হলো “সংযোগ স্থাপনকারী ক্রিয়া”।
- Linking verb বলতে সাধারণত ঐ verb গুলোকে বোঝায় যেগুলো কোন কাজ সম্পন্ন করে না বরং subject -এর সাথে বাক্যের বাকি অংশের যোগাযোগ (Link) স্থাপন করে।
- অর্থাৎ, subject এবং complement -এর মধ্যবর্তী verb ই হলো Linking verb.
- যেমন: The child became curious about the world around him.
