Positive meaning-এ cause-effect (কারণ-ফলাফল) বুঝাতে so কিংবা such ব্যবহৃত হয়; এমন ক্ষেত্রে সাধারণত adjective এর পূর্বে so এবং noun এর পূর্বে such ব্যবহৃত হয়৷ too ব্যবহৃত হয় না-বোধক অর্থ প্রকাশে; very দ্বারা কারণ-ফলাফল (cause effect) প্রকাশ করা হয় না। সুতরাং সঠিক বাক্যটি হবে - The plant is so big that it should really be moved outside.

তিন syllable বিশিষ্ট Adverb এর পূর্বে more ব্যবহার করে comparative করা হয়। সুতরাং সঠিক বাক্যটি হবে - The seed heads of teasel plants raise the nap on coarse tweed cloth more efficiently than do the machine tools invented to replace them.

Die from হয় কোন রোগে মারা গেলে। সুতরাং সঠিক বাক্যটি হবে - Before Alexander Fleming discovered penicillin, many people died from simple bacterial infections.

Equal comparison-এর rule অনুযায়ী as + adj/adv + as বসেছে। সুতরাং সঠিক বাক্যটি হবে - John said that no other car could go as fast as his car.

Superlative degree-র পূর্বে the বসে। সুতরাং সঠিক বাক্যটি হবে - Cuba is one of the largest sugar-growing areas in the world.

দুটি বস্তুর মাঝে তুলনা করলে comparative হবে। তাই smaller হবে। সুতরাং সঠিক বাক্যটি হবে - There were two small rooms in the beach house, the smaller of which served as a kitchen.

এটি একটি double comparative. সঠিক form-টি হলো the more ------ the less. সুতরাং সঠিক বাক্যটি হবে - The more she worked, the less she achieved।

বাক্যটির অর্থ হলো - 'আগামী বছর একটি নতুন সুপারমার্কেট বানানো হতে যাচ্ছে'। infinitive-এর passive pattern হলো to be + v3. সুতরাং সঠিক বাক্যটি হবে - A new supermarket is going to be built next year.

Present continuous-এর passive pattern অনুযায়ী be verb + being + v3 বসেছে। সুতরাং সঠিক বাক্যটি হবে - There's somebody walking behind us. I think we are being followed।

বাক্যটির অর্থ হলো 'তুমি কোথায় জন্ম নিয়েছিলে?'। জন্ম নেওয়া অর্থে 'bear' verb-টি সর্বদা passive voice এ থাকে। সুতরাং সঠিক বাক্যটি হবে - Where were you born?

এ ধরনের বাক্যের active form করার বেলায় Let উঠে যাবে, be done = do হবে এবং it চলে যাবে object পজিশনে।

বৈসাদৃশ্য বোঝাতে না বোধক বাক্যে so…..as ব্যবহৃত হয়ে থাকে। তবে so…...as না থাকলে as…...as উত্তর হবে। সুতরাং সঠিক বাক্যটি হবে - No mountain is as high as Mount Everest.

Cause বোঝাতে result clause-এর পূর্বে adjective-এর সাথে so বসে। সুতরাং সঠিক বাক্যটি হবে - The Continental United States is so big that there are four time zones.

Comparative degree-এর পর usually 'than' বসে। সুতরাং সঠিক বাক্যটি হবে - The observation deck at the World Trade Centre is higher than any other one in New York.

যদি simple sentence এ একজন person এর কোন কাজ করার কারণ বলা হয়, তবে compound sentence এ প্রথমে কারণ উল্লেখ করে result বা ফলাফলকে conjunction “and” দিয়ে যুক্ত করা হয়। সুতরাং সঠিক বাক্যটি হবে - He was guilty and he ran away।
