♦ Determiner:
- এটি কোন noun এর নির্দিষ্টতা, অনির্দিষ্টতা, সংখ্যা বা পরিমাণকে বোঝায়।
- Determiner এর প্রধান কাজ Noun/Pronoun-কে Determine করা।
- Noun/Pronoun এর নির্দিষ্টতা-অনির্দিষ্টতা বুঝাতে এটি ব্যবহার হয়।
 - তবে তা noun কে আংশিক কিংবা পরিপূর্ণ ভাবে modify করলেও, modify করা এটির প্রধান কাজ নয়।

- এখানে প্রদত্ত বাক্যে No একটি determiner.
- Determiner এর পর একটি word থাকলে তা noun হয়।
- প্রদত্ত বাক্যে no money এ 'money' একটি noun.

♦ Number:
- কোন ব্যক্তি, বস্তু বা প্রাণীর সংখ্যাকে number বলে।
- Number দুই প্রকার। যেমন- 1. Singular 2. plural.

• কিছু শব্দ আছে যেগুলো সবসময় Singular হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়ে থাকে। যেমন: information, scenery, machinery, advice, hair, alphabet, luggage, politics, physics, economics, The United States of America, Gulliver's Travels etc.

• আবার কিছু শব্দ আছে যেগুলো সবসময় Plural হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়ে থাকে। যেমন: people, police, cattle etc.

♦ Article এর ক্ষেত্রে,

• Bed, mosque, church, hospital, prison, school, college, university, court ইত্যাদি place গুলো যদি সাধারণ অর্থে ব্যবহার করা হয় তখন এদের পূর্বে the বসে না। 
Example:
- After I leave school.
- I want to go to college.

• কিন্তু উপরোক্ত place গুলো যখন বিশেষ অর্থে কোন উদ্দেশ্যে যাওয়া হয় তখন এদের আগে the বসে।
- প্রশ্নে উল্লেখিত বাক্যটি লক্ষ্য করলে দেখা যায়,
- Mrs. Hena তার মেয়ের teacher এর সাথে দেখা করার উদ্দেশ্যে school এ যাচ্ছে।
- যেহেতু তিনি একটি বিশেষ উদ্দেশ্যে যাচ্ছেন তাই এখানে the বসবে।
