Wuthering Heights is a famous novel which was written by Emily Bronte.

Wuthering Heights: 

- এটি প্রকাশিত হয় ১৮৪৭ সালে। এটি তার রচিত শ্রেষ্ঠ সাহিত্যকর্ম। প্রেম এবং প্রতিহিংসার অভূতপূর্ব সংমিশ্রণ এই উপন্যাসে দেখা যায়। 

Summary and characters: 
- Heathcliff এই উপন্যাসের কেন্দ্রীয় চরিত্র।  কাহিনীতে দেখা যায়, Heathcliff  একজন এতিম বালক। অন্যের আশ্রয়ে থাকে। পরবর্তীতে আশ্রয়দাতার কন্যা  Catherine Earnshaw এর সাথে তার মনের মিলন ঘটে, দুইজন দুইজনকে ভালোবেসে ফেলে। 
- কিন্তু Catherine প্রতিশ্রুতি ভঙ্গ করে অন্যত্র বিয়ে করলে Heathcliff এর জগৎ এলোমেলো হয়ে যায় । পরে, Catherine এর ভাই এর Hindley সাথেও বিরোধে জড়ায় Heathcliff। Hindley অবশ্য শুরু থেকেই Heathcliff এর সাথে দূর্ব্যবহার করতো। 
- এরপর Heathcliff নিরুদ্দেশ হয়ে যায়। যখন ফিরে আসে তখন সে অঢেল অর্থ বিত্তের মালিক। সে তার মালিকের বাড়ী Wuthering Heights কিনে নেয়। প্রেমিকা Catherine এর ননদের সাথে প্রেমের অভিনয় করে এবং সম্পত্তির লোভে তাকে বিয়েও করে। যদিও বিয়েটা এক সময় ভেঙ্গে যায়।
- এরপর Catherine মারা যায়। তার ভাই Hindley ও মারা যায়। কিন্তু তাদের সন্তানরা ধীরে ধীরে বড় হতে থাকে। Heathcliff এর সন্তানও এদের সাথে যোগ দেয়।  এভাবে কাহিনী এক প্রজন্ম থেকে পরের প্রজন্মের মাঝে এগিয়ে চলে। 
অন্যান্য চরিত্রের মধ্যে আছে: Lockwood, Edger Linton, Cathay Linton, Nelly  etc. 


Emily Bronte: 

Charlotte Bronte এর ছোট বোন। 
- “Wuthering Heights” উপন্যাসকে ঘিরেই মূলত: তার পরিচতি। 
- ত্রিশ বছর বয়সেই মৃত্যু বরণ করেন।

প্রদত্ত অপশনগুলোর মধ্যে কেবলমাত্র ’Abraham’ চরিত্রটি বিখ্যাত মহাকাব্য Paradise Lost এর কোন চরিত্র নয়। 

Paradise Lost: 
- প্রথম প্রকাশিত হয় ১৬৬৭ সালে। মোট বারো খন্ডে  পুরো বইটি প্রকাশিত হয়। প্রতিটি বইই শুরু হয় একটি আর্গুমেন্ট এর মাধ্যমে। প্রকাশিত হবার পরই আলোড়ন - ফেলে দেয় এটি। দিক দিগন্তে ছড়িয়ে পড়তে শুরু করে মিলটনের খ্যাতি। 
- The epic begins traditionally ‘in medias res’ বা গল্পের মাঝখান থেকে কাহিনী শুরু হয়। 
- এটিকে বলা হয়  The greatest epic in English. অর্থাৎ সর্বযুগের অন্যতম সেরা এপিক বা মহাকাব্য হিসেবে গণ্য করা হয় এই অসামান্য সাহিত্যকর্মটিকে। এটি রচনা কর হয় Blank verse এ।  কেউ কেউ আবার এটিকে বলছেন রোমান্টিক এপিক। 
- The theme of the Paradise lost is Justify the ways of God to men.
- খ্রিষ্টীয় ধর্মীয় মতবাদকে প্রাধান্য দিয়ে আদি মানব এবং মানবী  Adam & Eve এর স্বর্গ থেকে মর্ত্যে আগমনের কাহিনী হচ্ছে এই মহাকাব্যটির মূল উপজীব্য বিষয়।

A Passage to India
- এটি প্রকাশিত হয় ১৯২৪ সালে এবং তার অন্যতম শ্রেষ্ঠ কাজ বলে গণ্য। ভারত এবং আলেক্সান্দ্রিয়াতে তার অবস্থানের প্রেক্ষিতে তিনি এই উপন্যাস টি রচনা করেন।
-  কেন্দ্রীয় চরিত্র Dr. Aziz  এবং Adela Quested. 
-  Racism এবং colonialism এই উপন্যাসের অন্যতম বিষয়বস্তু।  তবে এই উপন্যাসের মূল আলোচ্য বিষয় ব্রিটিশ এবং ভারতীয়দের সম্পর্ক।

- In full Edward Morgan Forster. British novelist, essayist, and social and literary critic.

Othello:
- Othello is a Shakespearean Tragedy that tells the story of Othello, A moor of Venice.
- এই tragedy এর কেন্দ্রীয় চরিত্র Othello এবং Othello's wife Desdemona is the heroine.
- Iago র‍য়েছে Villan চরিত্রে। 
- In this tragedy, Othello, the hero, was affected by Othello Syndrome (a mental disorder of excessive jealousy) যার বর্শবর্তী হয়ে villian Iago এর প্ররোচনায় Othello Desdemona কে হত্যা করে।

- শরৎকালের আগমনে কবির মনের অভিব্যক্তি প্রকাশ পেয়েছে এই কবিতে। 
- পাশাপাশি গ্রীষ্মের বিদায় এবং জীবনের সংক্ষিপ্ততা নিয়েও কবি আলোচনা করেছেন।
 - কবিতায়  Autumn কে দেখানো হয়েছে উর্বরতা এবং পরিপক্কতার প্রতীক হিসেবে।
