• Be verb (am, is, was, were) এর পরে যদি কোনো pronoun বসে তবে সেই pronoun টি subjective form বসে।
- প্রশ্নে উল্লিখিত বাক্যে subject It এরপর be verb হিসেবে was বসেছে।

• সাধারণত, Sentence এর শুরুতে each, every থাকলে subject singular number হয়।
• কিন্তু কোন বাক্যের গঠন যদি এমন হয় যে- subject plural number+ each/ every+ verb+ obj,  তাহলে subject plural অর্থই প্রকাশ করবে এবং verb, subject অনুসারে plural number হবে।

• উল্লিখিত বাক্যে each এর পূর্বে plural noun The team members এসেছে,
- past tense এর subject, third person plural number হলে, auxiliary verb হবে "were" আর

• Narration এর ক্ষেত্রে, Direct speech থেকে Indirect speech এ রূপান্তরের নিয়ম:
- Reporting verb এর subject বসে।
- Reporting verb say/said, tell/told (যদি থাকে) বসে।
- Inverted comma উঠে that বসে।
- Reported speech এর subject number/person অনুযায়ী পরিবর্তন করতে হব

• Direct speech এ said to me থাকলে indirect speech এ তা পরিবর্তিত হয়ে told হবে এবং reporting verb এর tense অনুযায়ী indirect speech এ পরিবর্তন আসবে।
- কমার বদলে that বসবে।

• One of the ছাড়া শুধু the + Superlative Degree থাকলে – comparative degree করতে হলে,
- comparative degree + (than any other + singular noun) / (than all other + plural noun) বসে।

- সাধারণত  নদী, সাগর, মহাসাগর, উপসাগর, পর্বতশ্রেণী, পর্বতমালা, দ্বীপপুঞ্জ ইত্যাদির নামের পূর্বে article হিসাবে the বসে।

• Non-finite verb: 
- A non-finite verb is a verb form that does not show tense.

- যে verb দ্বারা sentence এর বক্তব্য শেষ হয়না ও কোন Subject এর person ও number দ্বারা যার রূপ নির্ণয় করা যায় না তাকে Non finite verb বলে।

- সুতরাং, সঠিক বাক্যটি হচ্ছে - It was quite a difficult task.

- সাধারণত, half, quite, rather, such, what ইত্যাদি কোন Noun বা Noun Phrase কে Modify করলে, ঐ Noun বা Noun Phrase এর পূর্বে a/an বসে।

• Suggest/advise/insist/propose/recommend + Gerund + Object যুক্ত active voice কে passive voice এ রূপান্তরিত করার নিয়ম হচ্ছে -

• Hurry up, lest we should be late for the meeting. Here the underlined part is an example of - Adverb clause.
- বাক্যের clause টি lest দ্বারা শুরু হয়েছে এবং যেনো মিটিং এর জন্য দেরি না হয় সে উদ্দেশ্যে তাড়াহুড়ো করা হয়েছে, অর্থাৎ purpose বুঝানো হয়েছে বা কাজ সংঘটিত হবার উদ্দেশ্য নির্দেশ করছে।

• Adverbial clause: 
- যে subordinate clause একটি বাক্যে একটি adverb হিসেবে কাজ করে এবং একটি verb,বা একটি adjective-clause বা অন্য একটি adverbial clause-কে modify করে তাকে Adverbial Clause বলে।
 - Adverb এর মতো এরা - time, place, cause, effect, purpose ইত্যাদি বুঝায়।

• No sooner had.....than হচ্ছে Correlative conjunction.
- No sooner had.....than যুক্ত বাক্য গঠনের নিয়মাবলী:
- No sooner had + subject + 1st clause (verb এর past participle) + than + subject + 2nd clause (verb এর past form).

• No sooner had, Hardly had, Scarcely had এবং As soon as সবগুলোই "করতে না করতেই/ হতে না হতেই" এ রকম অর্থে ব্যবহৃত হয়
• নিয়মানুযায়ী,
- No sooner had থাকলে পরের অংশে than (then নয়) ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- Hardly had থাকলে পরের অংশে when ব্যবহৃত হয়।

- As soon as যুক্ত sentence টি এরপর শুধু comma বসে, than/when ইত্যাদি বসে না।

- তবে Professor of ব্যবহৃত হয়।

• My frequent traveling for work affects my family life.
Here 'traveling' is a/an - Gerund.

• Possessive adjective (your, his, her, my, theirs etc.)-এর পর gerund এবং
- Object pronoun (me, us, him, her, them, it)-এর পর present participle ব্যবহৃত হয়৷
- উপরের বাক্যে 'my' Possessive adjective-টির পরে traveling বসাতে এটি একটি gerund.

• Gerund:
- Verb এর সাথে ing যোগ হয়ে যদি noun এর কাজ করে অর্থাৎ Verb ও noun এর কাজ করে, তাহলে তাকে Gerund বলে।
- সংক্ষেপে: Gerund = Verb + ing = noun = Verb + noun.

• এই রকম আরো কিছু verb হচ্ছে - 
- Reach, resemble, violate, discuss, resign, sign, investigate, recommend, order, command, enter, ইত্যাদি verb গুলো transitive বলে এদের পরে কোনো preposition বসে না।
- এদের পর সরাসরি object বসে।

• They went in a body to the palace to see the king. Here 'in a body' is an - Adverb phrase.

• Adverbial Phrase:

- যে Sentence দ্বারা কোন কিছুর বর্ননা বা বিবৃতি প্রকাশ করে তাকে Assertive sentence বলে।
- An assertive sentence is a simple statement or assertion, and it may be affirmative or negative.
- structure: “subject + verb + object/complement/adverb”.

• Imperative Sentence (অনুজ্ঞাসূচক বাক্য)
- যে Sentence দ্বারা কোন আদেশ, উপদেশ, নিষেধ, অনুরোধ ইত্যাদি বোঝায় তাকেই Imperative sentence বা অনুজ্ঞাসূচক বাক্য বলে। এই ধরনের বাক্যে Subject (you) গোপন থাকে।

4. Optative Sentence (প্রার্থনা সূচক বাক্য)
- যে Sentence দ্বারা মনে ইচ্ছা কিংবা প্রার্থনা প্রকাশ করে তাকে Optative Sentence বলে।
- যেমন -May Allah bless you.

• সঠিক বাক্যটি হচ্ছে - He would like to have a slice of cake for dessert.

• কিছু কিছু verb আছে যেগুলোর পর যদি আরেকটি verb ব্যবহার করতে হয় তাহলে, Infinitive (to + verb এর base form) ব্যবহার করতে হয়।
- Verb + Ing ব্যবহার করা যাবে না।
- We use the to-infinitive after certain verbs (verbs followed by to-infinitive), particularly verbs of thinking and feeling.

• The purse, which was on the table, is mine. Here 'which was on the table' is an example of -an Adjective clause.

• Adjective Clause দুইটি স্থানে বসতে পারে - 
- Noun এর post modifier - (subject + verb + noun + adjective clause)

• Adjective clause মূলত clause সম্পর্কে অতিরিক্ত তথ্য দেয়  এবং এরা relative pronoun (that, who, whose, whom, which, why, when) ইত্যাদি দ্বারা  শুরু হয়।

• অথবা
• Future perfect + before + present indefinite হয়।
- যেমন - I will have submitted my assignment before the deadline ends.
- প্রদত্ত বাক্যে, before এর পূর্বের, clause টি Future perfect tense এ রয়েছে, তাই before যুক্ত clause টিতেresent indefinite tense হয়ছে।

• আরো দুটি উদাহরণ -
1. He will have completed the task before you come.
2. He completes the task before you come.

• Complete sentence: Neither the manager nor his team members are available for the meeting today.

• Neither .... nor দ্বারা দুইটা Noun/Pronoun যুক্ত হলে শেষের noun/pronoun অনুযায়ী verb বসে।
- যেহেতু প্রশ্নে উল্লেখিত বাক্যের শেষে his team members – plural noun আছে, তাই এখানে ‍are হবে।
- অন্যদিকে,  বাক্যটির শেষে today থাকায় বুঝা যাচ্ছে, বাক্যটি present tense এ আছে।

• [Either/neither] + noun + [or/nor] + singular noun + singular verb.
- Neither the salesmen nor the marketing manager is in favor of the system.

• [Either/neither] + noun + [or/nor] + plural noun + plural verb.
- Neither John nor his friends are going to the beach today.

• শূন্যস্থানে সঠিক উত্তর হবে - a few pieces of furniture.
complete sentence: She moved into the new apartment with just a few pieces of furniture.

• Furniture হচ্ছে uncountable noun এবং এর কোনো plural form নেই।
- সুতরাং এর পূর্বে Countable determiner বসবে না।
- আর furniture এর সাথে কখনো 's/es' যুক্ত হয় না।
- যদি Furniture এর পূর্বে a few, few ব্যবহার করতে হয় তবে এর সাথে pieces of ( few pieces of/ a few pieces of) ব্যবহার করতে হবে।

• প্রদত্ত sentence- টি Comparative degree তে আছে। 
- Than যুক্ত Comparative degree কে Positive degree তে রূপান্তরের নিয়ম: 
- প্রদত্ত sentence এর than এর পরের অংশ প্রথমে + verb বসে, 
- এরপর not বসে (মূল sentence টি affirmative হলে, অন্যথায় not উঠে যায়),

• The students - শিক্ষার্থীরা।
-এটি plural form এ আছে, তাই এরপর plural verb বসবে।
- yesterday থাকায় বোঝা যাচ্ছে বাক্যটি past indefinite tense এ আছে। 
- তাই শূন্যস্থানটিতে were বসবে।

• আবার, 
- Inform someone of something এর অর্থ হলো কাউকে কোনো বিষয়ে জানানো।
- Inform এর Structure সাধারণত এ রকম হয়ে থাকে:
- Inform + ব্যক্তিবাচক Object + of + ধারণাবাচক Object
- তাই দ্বিতীয় শূন্যস্থান টিতে of বসবে।

• সম্পূর্ণ বাক্যটি হবে - The students were informed of the new eoutibe yesterday.

• কিছু কিছু Verb আছে এরপর verb+ing (gerund) বসে।
- যেমন: admit, appreciate, avoid, can't help, consider, delay, deny, enjoy, finish, mind, miss, postpone, practice, risk, resume, resist etc.
- নিয়মানুযায়ী, এখানে accessing বসার কথা।

• কিন্তু লক্ষ্য করলে দেখা যায়,
- উল্লিখিত বাক্যে verb টির কাজ তার ‍subject তথা The files নিজে করতে পারে না।
- তাই এটি passive এর গঠন অনুসরণ করবে।

• তাই সঠিক উত্তর হবে - being accessed.
- Complete sentence: The files were deleted to avoid being accessed by unauthorized users.

• Since/as/when যুক্ত Complex Sentence এর দুটি Clause এর Subject এক হলে এবং দুটি Clause এ মূল verb থাকলে প্রদত্ত নিয়মটির সাহায্য Simple করতে হবে।
- প্রথমে প্রথম Sentence এর মূল Verb এর Present form এর সাথে ing যোগ করতে হয়/ অথবা 'Because of + verb + ing'/ 'By + verb + ing' বসে
- প্রথম Clause এর ক্রিয়ার পরের অংশ বসে + Comma (,) বসে
- দ্বিতীয় Clause এর Subject এর জায়গায় প্রথম Sentence এর Subject বসে + দ্বিতীয় Sentence এর বাকী অংশ বসে।

Complex: Since the old man killed the bird, he brought bad luck to the crew.

• English Meaning:
1. Behaving in an unfriendly way towards other people because you think that you are better than them.
2. Unfriendly and seeming to consider yourself better than other people.
• Bangla Meaning:
- উদ্ধত; অহংকারী।

• Synonyms: Arrogant (অহংকারী), Pompous (গর্বিত), Superior (শ্রেষ্ঠ), Lofty (দাম্ভিক), Chesty (মেজাজী, জেদী, একগুঁয়ে)।

• Army - Army means a group of soldiers.
- তাই Army হচ্ছে Collective noun.
- collective noun ব্যক্তি বাচক প্রাণীবাচক হলেও তা neuter gender হিসেবে বিবেচিত হয়।
- Collective noun এর পূর্বে সংখ্যা বসিয়ে কিংবা এরসাথে '-s/es' যুক্ত করে একে common noun এ পরিণত করা হয়, article বসলেই তা common noun হয় না।

• Neuter Gender:
- যে noun দ্বারা কোন প্রাণীর স্ত্রী বা পুরুষ কোন অবস্থাকে বোঝায় না তাকে Neuter Gender বলে।

English Meaning: not feeling well or not acting in your usual way.
Bangla Meaning: ভালো অনুভব না করা বা স্বাভাবিক যে অবস্থায় থাকে অবস্থায় না থাকা।
- If you say that you are not yourself, you mean you are not feeling well.

• Only then, hardly, scarcely, seldom ইত্যাদি adverb/ adverbial phrase বা word বাক্যের শুরুতে বসে Verb এর উপর গুরুত্ব আরোপ করলে -
- (auxiliary verb + subject + main verb) হয়।
- অর্থাৎ, auxiliary verb - subject এর পূর্বে বসবে এবং verb টি হবে base form এ।

- এখানে, adverb very ( অতি; অত্যন্ত; অতিশয়; ভারী; খুব) তার পরে অবস্থিত আরেকটি adverb neatly (পরিচ্ছন্নভাবে) কে modify করছে।

গ) They arrived early.
- এখানে, adverb early (কোনো সময়ের প্রারম্ভে; নির্ধারিত বা যথাসময়ের পূর্বে) এর পরবর্তী verb arrived (পৌঁছানো) কে modify করছে।

• সঠিক উত্তর হবে - The, zero article.
- Complete sentence: The director and producer has announced a new project.

• বাক্যটি  লক্ষ্য করলে দেখা যায় বাক্যে singular verb has ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।
- has থাকায় বুঝা যায় Subject – Singular.
- অর্থাৎ, এখানে director এবং producer একই ব্যক্তি।
- and দিয়ে যুক্ত দুইটি শব্দ যদি একই ব্যক্তিকে বুঝায়, তাহলে Article শুধু প্রথমটার পূর্বে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

• And দ্বারা যুক্ত দুই বা ততোধিক subject/noun যদি একই ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুকে নির্দেশ করে তবে তাদের পরবর্তী verb টি singular হয়।
