বহুব্রীহি সমাস
যে সমাসে পূর্বপদ বা পরপদ কোনােটির অর্থ না বুঝিয়ে অন্য কিছু বােঝায়, তাকে বহুব্রীহি সমাস বলে। যেমন – বউ ভাত পরিবেশন করে যে অনুষ্ঠানে = বউভাত, লাঠিতে লাঠিতে যে যুদ্ধ = লাঠালাঠি ইত্যাদি।

• পূর্বপদ বিশেষণ এবং পরপদ বিশেষ্য হলে তাকে সমানাধিকার বহুব্রীহি বলে।

'কড়ি ও কোমল' (১৮৮৬) সম্পর্কে বলা হয়, এই গ্রন্থের বিষয় বিচিত্র, ভাব সুস্পষ্ট, ভাষা সুদৃঢ়, ছন্দ মধুর। 
- তারুণ্যের উচ্ছলতা, নারীদেহের প্রতি মুগ্ধতা ও মৃত্যুর রহস্যময়তার প্রতি আকর্ষণ-এই তিনটি লক্ষণে কাব্যটি বিশিষ্ট।

According to the question
Age of (A + B) = 14 + Age of (B + C) 
⇒  A + B = 14 + B + C

log₅(x² + x) - log₅(x + 1) = 2

C's age be x years.
 B's age = 2x years.
A's age = (2x + 2) years.
