Conditional Sentence এর অর্থ অনেকটা গণিতের এ রকম অংকের মতো : ৪ সমান যদি ৩ হয়, ৩ সমান যদি ২ হয়, তাহলে ২ সমান কত?

ভবিষ্যতের Condition এর জন্য 1st Conditional (Present) ব্যবহৃত হয়। যেমন- আমি যদি ঢাকা যাই (ভবিষ্যতে), তাহলে তোমার সাথে সাক্ষাৎ করব = If I go to Dhaka, I will meet you.
বর্তমানের Condition এর জন্য 2nd Conditional (Past) ব্যবহৃত হয়। ব্যবহৃত হয়। যেমন- আমি যদি এখন ঢাকায় থাকতাম, তাহলে তোমার সাথে সাক্ষাৎ করতাম = If I were in Dhaka now, I would meet you.
সুতরাং- অতীতের Condition এর জন্য 3rd Conditional (Past Perfect + Past Future Perfect) ব্যবহৃত হবে। তাই বাক্যটার সঠিক ইংরেজি (গ) Unless you had studied well, you could not have become a doctor.
Yesterday উল্লেখ করা থাকলে Past Indefinite Tense হয়।
Occur, happen ইত্যাদি Intransitive Verb. Intransitive Verb কখনো Passive Voice এ ব্যবহৃত হয় না।
Tips : যে verb এর Dictionary Meaning এর শেষে ‘করা’ লাগানো থাকে সেটা যদি বাক্যে ‘হওয়া’ অর্থে ব্যবহৃত হয়, তাহলে সেটা Passive Voice হয়। যেমন- pollute = দূষিত করা। এখন দূষিত হওয়া অর্থে ব্যবহৃত হলে বাক্য Passive হবে।
কিন্তু যে verb এর Dictionary Meaning এর শেষে ‘হওয়া’ লাগানো থাকে, সেটা কখনো Passive Voice হয় না। যেমন - occur, happen =সংঘটিত হওয়া।
