- ক্ষুদ্র অর্থে (উপ) : উপগ্রহ, উপনদী, উপজেলা ইত্যাদি।

Solution: 
the buying price of 6 litres of milk is = 6x Tk.

after mixing 2 litres of water the total amount of mixture is = 8 litres

selling 2x per litres the total selling price is = 16x
∴ profit = 16x - 6x = 10x

profit in percentage = (10x/6x)100%
= 166.66%

Question: A man could buy a certain number of notebooks for Tk. 300. If each notebook cost is Tk. 5 more, he could have bought 10 notebooks less for the same amount. Find the price of each notebook?
 
Solution: 
let the number of notebooks is = x 
so, per notebook price is = 300/x

ATQ,
{(300/x) + 5} × (x - 10) = 300
(300 + 5x)(x - 10) = 300x
300x + 5x² - 3000 - 50x = 300x
5x² - 50x - 3000 = 0
x² - 10x - 600 = 0
x² - 30x + 20x - 600 = 0
x(x - 30) + 20(x - 30) = 0
(x - 30) (x + 20) = 0
∴ x = 30

price of each notebook is = 300/30 = 10 Tk.

Question: 4 men and 6 women can complete a work in 8 days, while 3 men and 7 women can complete it in 10 days. In how many days will 10 women complete it?

Solution: 
let, work done by one man in one day = x
work done by one woman in one day = y 

so,
in one day 4 men and 6 women can do = 1/8
∴ 4x + 6y = 1/8 . . . . (i)

and 3x + 7y = 1/10 . . . (ii)

multiplying (i) by 3 and (ii) by 4 and then subtracting we get,
12x + 18y - 12x - 28y = 3/8 - 4/10

after adding 6 more marbels it become 2x, 3x, 7x

(2x + 3x + 7x) - (2x + 3x + 5x) = 6

Question: Three pipes A, B and C can fill a tank in 6 hours. After working at it together for 2 hours, C is closed and A and B can fill the remaining part in 6 hours. The number of hours taken by C alone to fill the tank is

A, B and C together can fill in one hour = 1/6
in two hours = 2/6 = 1/3

the remaining part is = 1 - 1/3 = 2/3

in 6 hours, A and B can do = 2/3
so, in one hour A and B can do = 2/(3 × 6) = 2/18

so, C can do in one hour = (A, B and C in one hour) - (A and B in one hour)
= 1/6 - 2/18
= 1/18

hence, C take 18 hours to fill the tank

⇒ এক্ষেত্রে লেটার অব ক্রেডিট হল সেই মাধ্যম যা ব্যাংকের মাধ্যমে বিক্রেতার মূল্য পরিশোধের এবং ক্রেতার কাছে তার পণ্য সঠিকভাবে প্রেরণের নিশ্চয়তা দেয়।

- ঋণপত্র বা লেটার অব ক্রেডিটের সংক্ষিপ্ত রুপ হচ্ছে L/C ইতালি ভাষায় যাকে বলে Lettera di creditio, ফ্রেঞ্চ ভাষায় “accreditation” বলা হয় এবং
- ল্যাটিন “accreditivus” যার অর্থ হল “বিশ্বাস”। এই Letter Of Credit বা L/C মূলতঃ ব্যাংকের দেয়া এক ধরনের গ্যারান্টি যার মাধ্যমে আমদানিকারক ও রপ্তানীকারকের মধ্যে বিশ্বস্ততা অর্জিত হয় এবং তারা এই মর্মে নিশ্চিত হয়ে যে বিক্রেতা তার পণ্যের মূল্য পাবে এবং ক্রেতাও নিশ্চিত হয় যে তার হাতে পণ্য না আসা পর্যন্ত কোন লেনদেন সম্পন্ন হবে না।

• ICDDR,B: 
- আইসিডিডিআর.বি (ICDDR,B - International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh) ঢাকা শহরের মহাখালীতে অবস্থিত চিকিৎসাবিষয়ক গবেষণা এবং সেবা প্রদানকারী আন্তর্জাতিক প্রতিষ্ঠান।
- যদিও আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে এটির আন্তর্জাতিক মর্যাদা প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়েছে ১৯৭৯ সালে, এর ইতিহাস শুরু ১৯৫০-এর দশকের মাঝামাঝি সময়ে।

• Word Processing Software:
