• Noun clause:
- যেসব subordinate clause noun এর মত কাজ করে থাকে।
- অর্থাৎ - বাক্যে subject/ object/ complement হিসেবে কাজ করে থাকে তাদেরকে Noun clause বলে।
- Preposition এর object হিসেবে বাক্যে Noun clause ব্যবহৃত হয়ে থাকতে পারে।

• Uses of the preposition 'between'/ 'among':
সাধারণত দুইটি ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুর ক্ষেত্রে between এবং দুইয়ের অধিক ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুর এর ক্ষেত্রে among ব্যবহৃত হয়।

- Collective noun এর পূর্বে among ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- যখন তিন বা ততোধিক ব্যক্তির মধ্যে কিছু বিতরণ করা হয়, তখন among ব্যবহার করা হয়।

সুতরাং বাক্যটি হবে- 
She distributed the gifts among her classmates.
(সে তার সহপাঠীদের মধ্যে উপহার বিতরণ করল।)

• Noun Clause: 
- যেসব subordinate clause noun এর মত কাজ করে থাকে।
- অর্থাৎ - বাক্যে subject/ object/ complement হিসেবে কাজ করে থাকে তাদেরকে Noun clause বলে।
- Preposition এর object হিসেবে বাক্যে Noun clause ব্যবহৃত হয়ে থাকতে পারে।

• একটি বাক্যের বিভিন্ন স্থানে Noun clause  বসতে পারে।
যেমন:
Subject হিসাবে:
- যেমন - What is lotted can not be blotted.
- প্রদত্ত বাক্যে 'What is lotted' clause টি verb এর subject হিসেবে বসেছে।

Transitive verb এর object হিসেবে:
যেমন:  I wondered what he was doing there.
- what he was doing there - clause টি  transitive verb এর object হিসেবে বসায় এটি noun clause.

Rule 1:
বিরুদ্ধে, প্রতিকূলে অর্থে against ব্যবহৃত হয়।
যেমন-
I have decided to take legal action against him.
She was forced to marry against her will.
We were rowing against the current.

Rule 2:
কোনো কিছুর বা স্পশ করে বা আকঁড়ে ধরা অর্থে against ব্যবহৃত হয়।
যেমন-
Push the bed against the wall.
Stand the painting against the wall.

নিয়মানুযায়ী অপশনের বাক্যগুলো:
ক) He is fighting against his friend.
(সে তার বন্ধুর বিরুদ্ধে লড়াই করছে।)
এখানে "against" ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে বিরোধিতা বা সংঘাত বোঝাতে।

খ) She leaned against the door.
(সে দরজার উপর হেলান দিল।)
এখানে "against" ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে শারীরিক সংস্পর্শ বা ভর দেওয়া বোঝাতে।

গ) The boat was sailing against the wind.
(নৌকাটি বাতাসের বিপরীতে চলছিল।)
এখানে "against" ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে বিপরীত দিকে বা বিরুদ্ধে বোঝাতে।

সুতরাং,
উপরের সবগুলো বাক্যে "against" preposition সঠিকভাবে ব্যবহার হয়েছে।

ভবিষ্যৎ কালে কোনো কাজ point of time এর মধ্যে ঘটবে বোঝালে তার পূর্বে by / before বসে।
Point of time হচ্ছে নির্দিষ্ট সময়কাল বা মুহূর্ত am, pm, o' clock, name of the days (Sunday / Saturday) name of the months. (January - December) today, tonight, tomorrow, yesterday, date (1st - 31st January / December) specific year (1905-2020)

এখানে, কাজটি 5 o'clock-এর মধ্যে শেষ করার প্রতিশ্রুতি দেওয়া হয়েছে, তাই শূন্যস্থানে "by" হবে।

আর কিছু উদাহরণ,
- She had promised to be back by five o'clock.
- Please do come by 12 o'clock /tomorrow.
- We should be there by noon.

• Adjective clause:
- An adjective clause is a subordinate clause that acts as an adjective in a sentence and qualifies a noun or equivalent.
- অর্থাৎ, যেসব sub-ordinate clause বাক্যে ব্যবহার হয়ে adjective -এর কাজ করে তাদেরকে Adjective clause বলে।
- এগুলো বাক্যে ব্যবহৃত হয়ে কোন noun বা noun equivalent (noun -এর সমতুল্য) -কে qualify করে।
- অর্থাৎ বাক্যে যেসব clause - noun/pronoun -এর পরে বসে ঐ noun/pronoun -কে modify করে তাকে adjective clause বলে।

• "The news he gave me was false." - Here the underlined portion is an - Adjective clause.
এখানে,
"he gave me" অংশটি বাক্যের Noun "The news" কে Modify করেছে। তাই অংশটুকু Adjective phrase

• Uses of the preposition 'between'/ 'among':
সাধারণত between দুইটি ব্যক্তির বা বস্তুর ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহৃত হয়, আর among তিন বা ততোধিকের ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহৃত হয়। তবে, যদি তিন বা তার বেশি specific proper noun উল্লেখ করা হয় এবং তারা স্বতন্ত্র বা ভৌগোলিকভাবে পৃথক হয়, তাহলে between ব্যবহার করা হয়।

সুতরাং বাক্যটি হবে- 
Nepal lies between India, China, and Bhutan.
(নেপাল ভারত, চীন এবং ভুটানের মধ্যে অবস্থিত।)

• Noun clause:
- যেসব subordinate clause noun এর মত কাজ করে থাকে।
- অর্থাৎ - বাক্যে subject/ object/ complement হিসেবে কাজ করে থাকে তাদেরকে Noun clause বলে।

ইংরেজিতে "on the committee" বলতে বোঝানো হয় যে - কমিটির সদস্য।

১. স্পর্শ অবস্থায় উপরে বা সংস্পর্শ বুঝাতে on বসে।
যেমন- Put the book on the table.

২. নির্দিষ্ট দিন বা বারের নামের পূর্বে on বসে।
যেমন- I went to meet him on last Monday.

৩. নির্দিষ্ট তারিখ বুঝাতে on বসে।
যেমন- I was born on 21 July in 1990.

৪. সদস্য বুঝাতে on বসে।
যেমন -
- I am not on the committee.
- The Prime Minister is on the committee.

৫. কোনো কিছু সম্বন্ধে অর্থে on বসে।
যেমন- This is a book on pregnancy.

• Adjective clause:
- যে sub-ordinate clause কোনো noun/pronoun এর পরে বসে ঐ noun/pronoun কে modify করে তাকে Adjective Clause বলে। 
- অর্থাৎ noun এর post modifier হিসাবে adjective clause বসে।

• Adjective Clause দুইটি স্থানে বসতে পারে - 
- Noun এর post modifier - (subject + verb + noun + adjective clause) 
- Subject এর post modifier - (Subject + adjective clause + verb + object)

Subject এর post modifier হিসেবে:
Subject + Adjective Clause + Verb + Object
যেমন:
"The girl who won the race is my friend."
এখানে "who won the race" Adjective Clause এবং এটি "the girl" কে Modify করছে।

সঠিক বাক্যটি হবে:
- Under his leadership, the company achieved record profits.
(তার নেতৃত্বে কোম্পানিটি রেকর্ড মুনাফা অর্জন করেছে।)
এখানে "under" ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে, যার মানে "তার নেতৃত্বে" বা "তার অধীনে"।

Rule 2:
কোনো কিছু অনুসারে বা নেতৃত্বে, অধীনে (according to sth) অর্থে "Under" ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- The accused was arrested under the warrant of the court.
- Under the new policy, all employees must wear ID badges.
- Under his leadership, the company achieved record profits.

• Point of time এর পূর্বে since বসে।
- Point of time হচ্ছে সেই সময়কালে যাকে এক দুই, তিন ইত্যাদি গণনার একক দ্বারা গণনা করা যায় না বরং কোনো মুহূর্ত বা সময়কে নির্দেশ করে।
যেমন:
গত সোমবার, গত সপ্তাহ / মাস/ বছর/ তিনটা (3 o'clock) ইত্যাদি।

উল্লিখিত বাক্যের ক্ষেত্রে,
যেহেতু, Since ব্যবহৃত হয় point of time (নির্দিষ্ট সময়ের শুরু) বোঝাতে।
"Last Monday" একটি নির্দিষ্ট সময়ের (point of time) উল্লেখ করে, তাই এখানে since ব্যবহার করতে হবে।

সুতরাং বাক্যটি হবে,
- I have been studying since last Monday. (আমি গত সোমবার থেকে পড়াশোনা করছি।)

তেমনিভাবে,
I have been waiting since half past three. (আমি সাড়ে তিনটা থেকে অপেক্ষা করছি)
It has been raining (for one hour / since morning) (সকাল থেকে এক ঘন্টা ধরে বৃষ্টি হচ্ছে)

• শূন্যস্থানদ্বয়ে সঠিক উত্তর হবে - in, at 
Complete sentence: The exhibition opens in the morning, but we’ll meet at 11 a.m.

• Preposition নিয়মানুযায়ী,

"in the morning":
ইংরেজিতে দিনের অংশ (সকাল, বিকাল, সন্ধ্যা) নির্দেশ করার জন্য "in" ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- দিনের বড় ভাগ যেমন - afternoon, morningh, evening ইত্যাদির পূর্বে সাধারণত in বসে।
তাই, "The exhibition opens in the morning" সঠিক।

"at 11 a.m.":
নির্দিষ্ট সময় (যেমন 11 a.m.) নির্দেশ করার জন্য "at" ব্যবহৃত হয়।
তাই, "we’ll meet at 11 a.m." সঠিক।

অতএব, বাক্যটি হবে:
"The exhibition opens in the morning, but we’ll meet at 11 a.m."

• Uses of the preposition "Beside":
• কারো/কোন কিছুর পাশে বসা অর্থে sit এর সাথে preposition 'beside' ব্যবহার করা হয়।
- Beside (near, next to, by) = পাশে,
- Beside (in addition to, apart from sb/sth) = ছাড়া, ব্যতীত.

সঠিক বাক্য:
He sat vigilantly beside his sick father. (সে সতর্কভাবে তার অসুস্থ বাবার পাশে বসেছিল।)

এখানে,
"Beside" মানে পাশে, কাছাকাছি থাকা বোঝানো হয়। "his sick father" (তার অসুস্থ বাবা)-এর পাশে বসার কথা বলা হচ্ছে, তাই beside ব্যবহার করা সঠিক।
