homogeneous = স্বজাতি, সমশ্রেণিভুক্ত -Adjective
homogeneity = সমসত্ত্বতা – noun

• Emphatic Pronoun: যে সর্বনাম দ্বারা কোনো noun বা pronoun-এর ওপর জোর দেওয়া হয়, তাকে Emphatic Pronoun বলে। এটি বাক্য থেকে সরিয়ে ফেললেও বাক্যের মূল অর্থের পরিবর্তন হয় না।

অন্য অপশনগুলো:
ক) Reflexive Pronoun →  Reflexive Pronoun-এর ক্ষেত্রে, subject-ই object-এর কাজ করে। যেমন: "I hurt myself." এখানে "hurt" ক্রিয়াটি "I" এর ওপরই প্রয়োগ হয়েছে। কিন্তু প্রশ্নের বাক্যে "saw" ক্রিয়াটি "I" এর ওপর প্রয়োগ হয়নি, বরং "him" এর ওপর হয়েছে।

ঘ) Possessive Pronoun → যেমন- mine। এটি মালিকানা বোঝায়, জোর নয়।

Emphatic Pronoun-এর বৈশিষ্ট্য:
- এটি বাক্যের subject-কে জোর দিয়ে প্রকাশ করে।
- এটি গঠিত হয়: Personal Pronoun + self/selves
→ Singular: myself, yourself, himself, herself, itself
→ Plural: ourselves, yourselves, themselves
- এটি বাক্য থেকে বাদ দিলেও বাক্যের অর্থ অপরিবর্তিত থাকে, শুধু জোর কমে যায়।
- এটি object হিসেবে নয়, বরং subject-এর পরপর বা বাক্যের শেষে বসে।
 
উদাহরণ:
- I myself saw the accident. → আমি নিজে দুর্ঘটনাটি দেখেছি।
- We ourselves built this house. → আমরা নিজেরা এই বাড়ি বানিয়েছি।
- The President himself attended the meeting. → রাষ্ট্রপতি নিজে সভায় উপস্থিত ছিলেন।

• Reflexive Pronoun হলো সেই সর্বনাম যা বাক্যে কর্তা (subject) এবং কর্ম (object) একই হলে ব্যবহৃত হয়। অর্থাৎ, যখন কর্তা নিজেই কাজটি নিজের উপর করে, তখন Reflexive Pronoun ব্যবহৃত হয়।

 Reflexive Pronoun-এর বৈশিষ্ট্য:
- এটি subject এবং object একই ব্যক্তি হলে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- এটি গঠিত হয়: Personal Pronoun + self/selves
→ Singular: myself, yourself, himself, herself, itself.
→ Plural: ourselves, yourselves, themselves.

উদাহরণ:
- Myself → I did it myself. (আমি নিজেই কাজটি করেছি।)
- Yourself → Did you enjoy yourself? (তুমি কি নিজে আনন্দ পেয়েছো?)

• Ordinal numeral:
- ক্রমবাচক সংখ্যা হলো Ordinal সংখ্যা। এই সংখ্যা যখন adjective রূপে ব্যবহৃত হয় তখন তাদেরকে Ordinal Numeral Adjective বলে।
- Ordinal Numeral Adjective: first, second, third, fourth, fifth, ইত্যাদি।

English Meaning: Good at one's job, good or competent at the job or profession specified.
Bangla Meaning: দক্ষ; কোন কাজে দক্ষ বা পারদর্শী।

• Must যুক্ত interrogative sentence -এর Direct speech থেকে Indirect speech এ রূপান্তরের নিয়ম:
- প্রথমে Reporting verb এর subject বসে।
- Reporting verb হিসেবে ask/asked বসে।
- Inverted comma উঠে if/whether বসে।
- অবশ্য করণীয় অর্থে must থাকলে Indirect speech এ had to হয়।
- to এর পর verb এর base form বসবে।
- বাকি অংশ বসে।

- এখানে “filled with books” phrase টি noun “bag” কে describe করছে।
- যে phrase noun-এর গুণ, অবস্থা বা বৈশিষ্ট্য প্রকাশ করে, তাকে adjective phrase বলা হয়।
অর্থাৎ, এটি bag noun-এর জন্য অতিরিক্ত তথ্য যোগ করছে।

• Adjective phrase:
- যে phrase গুলো sentence -এ adjective -এর মত কাজ করে, অর্থাৎ Noun/Pronoun/noun phrase -কে modify করে, সেই phrase গুলোকে Adjective phrase বলে।
- যেমন: She wore a dress covered with flowers.
- এই বাক্যে 'covered with flowers' তার পূর্বর্তী noun - 'a dress' -কে modify করছে, তাই এটি হলো adjective phrase.

- অল্প কয়েকটি অর্থ countable noun এর পূর্বে a few বসে এবং অল্প একটু বা সামান্য পরিমাণ অর্থে uncountable noun এর পূর্বে a little বসে।
- a few বা a little উভয়ের অর্থই হচ্ছে some (অল্প কয়েকটি বা অল্প পরিমাণ)। Examples:
- I have got a few friends, so I am not lonely.
- I would like a little salt in my vegetables.
- I still have a little money in my pocket.

- এখানে "that she gave me" একটি Relative clause (Adjective clause).
- It modifies (describes) the noun "the book" (its antecedent), telling us which book.
- অর্থাৎ, এটি এখানে Noun "book" কে modify করছে।
- Relative pronoun "that" দিয়ে শুরু হয়ে "book" noun-কে modify করছে বিধায় এটি হলো Relative/Adjective clause.

• Adjective clause/Relative clause:
- যে Sub-ordinate Clause কোনো Noun বা Pronoun এর পরে বসে ঐ Noun বা Pronoun কে modify করে তাকে Adjective Clause বলে।
- Relative clause গুলো সাধারণত Relative pronoun (যেমন: that, who, whose, whom, which, why, when) ইত্যাদি দ্বারা শুরু হয়।

• Adjective Clause দুইটি স্থানে বসতে পারে:
1. Noun এর post modifier হিসেবে- (subject + verb + noun + adjective clause).
2. Subject এর post modifier হিসেবে- (Subject + adjective clause + verb + object).

• Note:
- Noun -এর পরে That যুক্ত clause টি Noun clause এবং Adjective clause উভয়ই হতে পারে।

• কখন Adjective clause?
- যখন noun/pronoun কে modify করে (দোষ, গুণ, সংখ্যা, পরিমাণ, ইত্যাদি বুঝায়) তখন adjective clause হয়।
- যেমন: The book that she gave me turned out to be very helpful.
- এই বাক্যে That যুক্ত clause টি 'book' কে modify করছে, অর্থাৎ, book কে describe করছে (the book she gave).

অন্যদিকে,
• Principal clause/ Independent clause/ Main clause:
- যে সকল clause তাদের অর্থ প্রকাশের জন্য অন্য কোনো clause এর উপর নির্ভরশীল নয় তাদের principal clause বলে।
- আধুনিক English Grammar এ Simple sentence কেও clause বলা হয় কারণ Simple sentence গুলাে সর্বদাই principal clause হয়ে থাকে।
