•  Direct speech থেকে Indirect speech এ রূপান্তরের বেলায়:

- Reporting verb এর subject বসে।
- Reporting verb say/said, tell/told (যদি থাকে) বসে।
- Inverted comma উঠে that বসে।
- Direct speech এ must থাকলে Indirect speech এ had to হয়।
- to এর পর verb এর base form বসবে।
- বাকি অংশ বসবে।

Coagulate [কোউঅ্যাগিউলেইট্‌] (verb transitive), (verb intransitive)

English Meaning: (of a liquid) To become or cause to become thicker so that it will not flow.
Bangla Meaning: (তরল পদার্থ) ঘনীভূত করা বা হওয়া।

Correct answer: Incisive.

Incisive (adjective)
- English meaning: impressively direct and decisive (as in manner or presentation.

• Noun Clause: 
- যে সব Subordinate Clause Noun এর কাজ করে থাকে, অর্থাৎ Subject, Object, Compliment বা Case in Apposition- এর কাজ করে থাকে তাকে Noun Clause বলে।

• Noun Clause বিভিন্নভাবে ব্যবহার হতে পারে। যেমন:
- Verb এর Subject হিসেবে।
- Verb এর Object হিসেবে।
- Object এর complement হিসেবে।
- Complement দুই প্রকার। যেমন: 1. Subjective Complement এবং 2. Objective Complement
- Verb এর Subject এর Complement হিসেবে।

• Noun Clause যখন verb এর Subject হিসেবে কাজ করে তখন তা That, Wh word: what, when, why, whether, how দিয়ে শুরু হয়।
- এ ক্ষেত্রে Noun Clause প্রায়ই be verb (am, is, are, was, were) এর subject হিসেবে ব্যবহার করা হয়।

• Home, mosque, church, school এর পূর্বে the বসে না।

• কোনো word এর শুরুতে যদি  vowel letter U থাকে কিন্তু  এর উচ্চারন ইউ বা ওয়া এর মত হয় তবে তার পূর্বে article হিসেবে a বসে।

• সাধারণত Material Noun-এর আগে The বসে না কিন্তু কোনো নির্দিষ্ট স্থানের বা নির্দিষ্ট প্রকারের পদার্থ বোঝালে Material Noun-এর আগে The বসে।

- "His promotion is adjourned to next year" অর্থ হচ্ছে, তার পদোন্নতি পরবর্তী বছরে পিছিয়ে দেওয়া হয়েছে।
- এখানে "adjourned to" মানে স্থগিত করা বা পরে সরিয়ে দেওয়া, একেবারে বাতিল করা নয়।

Other options:
ক) Brought forward (আগাম করা) –  "adjourned" মানে পিছানো, আগানো নয়।

• সাধারণত Superlative degree এর পূর্বে the এবং পরে of/in বসে। পরে স্থান থাকলে in বসে।
• Structure টি হচ্ছেঃ The + Superlative degree + noun + of (+plural noun)/in (+singular Noun). যেমনঃ

Neither + subject(1) + nor + subject(2) -এর (2) নং subject অনুসারে verb বসে।
উপরের বাক্যে 2 নং subject হলো Rehana, যা একটি singular noun. তাই verb ও singular.

- Neither the players nor the trainer was in the room. অথবা, Neither the trainer nor the players were in the room.
- Neither Shahin nor Shafiq is qualified for the job.

• প্রদত্ত বাক্যে ‘laughing’ শব্দটি noun ‘children’ কে modify করছে।
- অর্থাৎ adjective এর কাজ করছে।

• A participle is a verb that ends in -ing (present participle) or -ed, -d, -t, -en, -n (past participle). Participles may function as adjectives, describing or modifying nouns.

• Participle মূলত: তিন প্রকার:

- Verb+ing যদি একই সাথে Verb ও Noun এর কাজ করে, তখন তাকে Gerund বলা হয়।

- Verb এর present form এর আগে to বসিয়ে Infinitive গঠন করা হয়।
- অর্থাৎ, Infinitive = to + verb.
- Infinitive দুই রকম হতে পারে,
1. To-যুক্ত infinitive এবং,
2. To-বিহীন infinitive বা Bare Infinitive.

• Intransitive verb হলো অকর্ম ক্রিয়া বা verb যার শেষে object থাকে না।
- প্রদত্ত বাক্য sighed এরপর adverb (heavily) আছে এবং এর কোনো object নেই। তাই এটি Intransitive sentence.
- সাধারণত verb এরপর কোন word না থাকলে অথবা verb এরপর adverb থাকলে অথবা verb এরপর শুধু preposition থাকলে verb টি অবশ্যই intransitive verb হবে।

• Causative Verb: যে Verb গুলো দিয়ে নিজের জন্য কাজ না করে বরং অন্যের জন্য কাজ করানো বুঝায় বা অন্যকে দিয়ে কাজ করিয়ে নেয়া বুঝায় সেগুলোই হলো Causative Verb.
- Have, Get, Help, Let, Make, ইত্যাদি প্রচলিত Causative Verb.

• Factitive verb: Transitive verb এর object থাকা সত্ত্বেও যদি object পরবর্তী noun অথবা adjective (complement) এর সাহায্য ছাড়া বাক্য পূর্ণ না হয়, তখন ঐ বাক্যে ব্যবহৃত verb কে factitive verb বলে।
