Objective Correlative:
An image that suggests a particular emotion associated with it.
For example, the sentence, "He is a Meer Zafar" evokes in the mind of the readers a sense that 'He' is a betrayer.
It is because 'betrayal' is associate with the name of Meer Zafar who betrayed Nawab Siraj-ud Daula.
So, Meer Zafar is an objective correlative for betrayal.

- Objectivity: A mode od expression in which the writer's personal life remains absent from his writting.
- Oxymoron: A figure of speech in which two contradictory words are put together.
- Metonymy: The name of one thing is used for another thing to which it is related.

- Articles মুলত Noun, Pronoun এর আগে বসে তাদের সংখ্যা এবং নির্দিষ্টতা, অনির্দিষ্টতা জ্ঞাপন করে।
- Articles কে প্রধানত দুই ভাগে ভাগ করে যায়।
• Indefinite Articles: A, An - এগুলো Indefinite Article. (এগুলো নির্দিষ্টভাবে কোনো ব্যক্তি, বস্তু বা কোনো বিষয়কে নির্দেশ করে না)।

We were flying above the clouds. Here 'above' is - preposition.

• Though/Although যুক্ত complex sentence কে compound sentence- এ পরিবর্তন করার নিয়ম: 
- Though/Although যুক্ত complex sentence কে compound sentence- এ পরিবর্তন করতে but/yet coordinate marker ব্যবহার করতে হয়।
- অর্থাৎ দুইটা sentence- এর অর্থ যদি পরস্পর বিপরীত হয় তাহলে but/yet দ্বারা compound sentence করতে হয়।

উদাহরণ:
Complex: Though he is poor, he is honest.
Compound: He is poor but honest.

Other options,

খ) He was injured, but yet he kept running. 
- এখানে but yet ব্যবহার ভুল বা অপ্রয়োজনীয়, কারণ "but" এবং "yet" দুটোই contrast বোঝায়, তাই একসাথে ব্যবহার করা অতিরিক্ত ও ব্যাকরণগতভাবে ভুল।
- সাধারণভাবে "but" বা "yet" এর যেকোনো একটি ব্যবহার করা উচিত।

গ) He was injured, so yet he kept running. 
- "so" অর্থ "ফলস্বরূপ", কিন্তু এখানে অর্থ হচ্ছে বিপরীত (contradiction), তাই "so" ব্যবহার ভুল।
- "so yet" একসাথে ব্যবহার করা অর্থগত ও গঠনগতভাবে সঠিক নয়।


ঘ) He was injured, he kept running. 
- এখানে দুইটি independent clause আছে কিন্তু সঠিক coordinating conjunction নেই, তাই এটি ব্যাকরণগত ভুল।
- সঠিকভাবে লিখতে হলে "but" বা "yet" ব্যবহার করা লাগবে।

• একটি sentence-এ নির্দিষ্ট subject-এর সাথে নির্দিষ্ট কিছু verb বা verb-এর form ব্যবহার করার নিয়মই হলো subject-verb agreement।
- কোন Sentence- এর Verb তার Subject, Number, Person ও Tense অনুযায়ী বসে।
- কোন বাক্যে Subject যদি Singular হয় তখন Verb Singular হবে।
- আর Subject যদি Plural হয় Verb ও Plural হবে।

A few + uncountable noun = not okay
A little + countable plural noun = not okay
An amount of + money → okay
A great many + Plural noun+ singular verb = not okay, plural verb হলে সঠিক হত।

- I, You and He হলো Personal Pronoun এর উদাহরণ।

• As if / As though যুক্ত sentence এর ব্যবহার:
- As if / As though এর পূর্বে Present Indefinite Tense থাকলে as if/as though এর পরে Past Indefinite Tense হয় এবং Be verb থাকলে সব সময় were হয়।
- Example: He talks as though he knew everything.

• আবার, As if / As though এর পূর্বে Past Indefinite Tense থাকলে as if/as though এর পরে Past Perfect Tense হয়।

উল্লেখ্য, As if / As though যখন phrase/idiom হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়, তখন As if / As though এর পূর্বে Past Indefinite Tense থাকলেও as if/as though এর পরে আবার Past Indefinite tense হয়। এটি মূল নিয়মের ব্যতিক্রম।

- "arrived" এখানে Intransitive verb কারণ এটি কোনো Direct object গ্রহণ করেনি।
- Intransitive verb হলো এমন Verb যা কোন Direct object ছাড়াই সম্পূর্ণ অর্থ প্রকাশ করে।

• Intransitive verb:
- যে verb এর object থাকে না তাকে Intransitive verb বলে।
- Intransitive verb হলো subject নিজের দ্বারাই যে কাজ সম্পন্ন হয়, action (কাজ) সম্পন্ন হওয়ার জন্য object-এর দ্বারস্থ হতে হয় না।

• The soldier fought a brave fight. Here, "fought" is- Cognate verb.

• Cognate Verb:
- বাক্যের verb এবং object যখন একই root থেকে উৎপন্ন হয় তখন সেই verb কে cognate verb বলা হয় এবং এর object কে বলা হয় cognate object.
- অর্থাৎ, যে Intransitive verb তারই noun form কে object হিসেবে গ্রহণ করে তখন সেই verb কে cognate verb বলা হয়।
- আর object টি কে বলা হয় Cognate object.
- যেমন: The soldier fought a brave fight.
- এখানে "fought" হলো cognate verb ও "fight" হলো cognate object.

অন্যদিকে,
• Linking verb:
- যে সকল verb সাধারণত subject ও Subjective complement এর মধ্যে যোগসূত্র স্থাপন করে তাদেরকে Linking verb/ Copulative verb বলে।
- Linking verb-এর complement হিসেবে সাধারণত adjective বসে।
- Subject এবং subjective complement এর মধ্যবর্তী verb কে linking/Copulative verb বলে।
- অবশ্যই মনে রাখতে হবে Linking/copulative verb হচ্ছে actionless.
- যেমন: He became a doctor.

• Causative Verb:
- Subject যখন নিজে কাজ না করে অন্যকে দিয়ে কাজ করিয়ে নেয় তখন এই অর্থে causative verb ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- Help, Get, Have, Let, Make ইত্যাদি বহুল প্রচলিত causative verb.
- যেমন: She makes me happy

• Factitive verb:
- Transitive verb এর Object থাকা সত্ত্বেও যদি object পরবর্তী noun অথবা adjective (complement) এর সাহায্য ছাড়া বাক্য পূর্ণ না হয়, তখন ঐ বাক্যে ব্যবহৃত verb কে Factitive verb বলে।
- কিছু factitive verbs হলো: Elect, Select, Make, Appoint, Call, Name ইত্যাদি।
- যেমন: They elected him captain.
