Parts of Speech

ব্যাখ্যা:
Verb-এর তৃতীয় রূপটিকে Past Participle বলে। সাধারণত মূল Verb-এর সাথে ed যুক্ত হয়ে past participle গঠিত হয়, যেমন work-worked।
কিন্তু অনেক ক্ষেত্রে ed যুক্ত না হয়েও past particple গঠিত হতে পারে।
যেমন: go-gone। Past Participle Verb সহ adjective হিসেবেও ব্যবহৃত হতে পারে।

Definition: the form of a verb that in English ends in -ed, -en, etc. and is used with the verb have to form perfect tenses such as I have eaten, with the verb be to form passive sentences such as It was destroyed, or sometimes as an adjective as in an upset stomach.
এখানে Gone শব্দটি্ সেটি days-কে মডিফাই করছে।

Malleable অর্থ নমনীয় কিন্তু কষ্টসাধ্য,
অন্যদিকে “brittle” অর্থ ভঙ্গুর।
Concept দ্বয় contrastive সেহেতু ‘conjunction’ হিসেবে ‘but’ ব্যবহৃত হবে।

- Phrase হচ্ছে একটি শব্দগুচ্ছ (a group of words), যা কোনো একটি একক পদের (single parts of speech) মত ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- Phrase টি যদি Noun এর মতো কাজ করে তাহলে তাকে Noun Phrase বলে। যেমনঃ
- To tell a lie is a great sin.
- বাক্যটিতে 'To tell a lie' একটি Noun Phrase।

• They saw him climbing the tree.
- Here ‘climbing’ is a- Participle.

- এখানে "climbing" হলো present participle যা object complement হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।
- অর্থাৎ, 'climbing' এখানে object "him"-এর state/condition বর্ণনা (modify) করছে বিধায় adjective হিসেবে কাজ করছে, তাই এটি present participle.
- এটি pronoun (him)-কে একই সঙ্গে বর্ণনা করছে এবং কাজটি চলমান বুঝাচ্ছে।
- Structure: Subject (They) + verb (saw) + object (him) + object complement (climbing).

• Present participle:
- Verb -এর সাথে ing যোগ হয়ে যদি adjective -এর কাজ করে অর্থাৎ, একই সাথে Verb ও adjective -এর কাজ করে, তাহলে তাকে present participle বলে।
- সহজ ভাষায় → present participle হলো Verb + ing = adjective = Verb + adjective কাজ করে।

অন্যদিকে,
• Infinitive:
- verb-এর base form বা to + base form.
- যেমন: to walk.

• Gerund:
- Verb -এর সাথে ing যোগ হয়ে যদি noun -এর কাজ করে অর্থাৎ, একই সাথে Verb ও noun -এর কাজ করে, তখন তাকে Gerund বলে।
- সহজে → Gerund = Verb + ing = noun = Verb + noun -এর কাজ করে।
- Gerunds don’t describe action—they act as nouns.
- যেমন: Rising early is a good habit.

• Verbal Noun: 
• কোন বাক্যের Verb + ing - এর পুর্বে the এবং পরে of থাকলে তাকে Verbal Noun বলে।
- The + verb+ing + of = verbal noun.
- যেমন: The writing of a good letter is very difficult.

• “Which answer is correct?” “Neither one.”
- Here, 'Neither' is a Distributive adjective.

- প্রদত্ত বাক্যে 'Neither' Distributive pronoun টি 'one' - Noun টিকে modify করছে। তাই এটি Distributive adjective.
- "Neither" here refers to "neither of the two answers".
- অর্থাৎ, দুইটি উত্তরের কোনোটিই নয় বুঝাতে 'Neither' এখানে 'one' কে modify করছে।

• Distributive adjective:
- Distributive pronoun যখন adjective -রূপে কাজ করে তখন তাকে Distributive adjective বলে।
- অর্থাৎ, Distributive pronoun (each, either, neither, etc.) গুলো যখন Noun -এর পূর্বে বসে সেই Noun কে modify করে (adjective -এর কাজ করে) তখন এগুলো Distributive adjective
- Distributive adjective হলো এক প্রকার - Pronominal Adjective.

• Collective Noun:

- অনেকক্ষণ ধরে একটি কাজ চলছে এরূপ বোঝাতে For  এবং অনেক আগের কোন মূহুর্ত থেকে একটি কাজ চলছে এই অর্থে  Since ব্যবহৃত হলে তার পূর্ববর্তী verb  এর Present perfect continuous  হয় ।

English Meaning - To continue to obey, believe in, or support something, esp. a custom or belief. 
Bangla Meaning - (আনুষ্ঠানিক) (১) দৃঢ়ভাবে লেগে থাকা, সেঁটে থাকা।
(২) বিশ্বস্ত/ অনুগত/ অবিচল থাকা; বিচ্যুত না-হওয়া; দৃঢ়ভাবে সমর্থন করা: adhere to an opinion.

ভবিষ্যতে কোন কাজ কোন সময় থেকে অনবরত চলতে থাকবে বোঝাতে future perfect continuous tense হয়।
যেমনঃ I shall have been studying in the university for five years.
তেমনিভাবে, My mother will have been suffering from fever since Friday.
