Usage of Words as Various Parts of Speech

বাক্যে ব্যবহারের উপর ভিত্তি করে একই শব্দ বিভিন্ন parts of speech হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হতে পারে। যেমন: ‘Except’ এর ক্ষেত্রে -

Preposition: All the brethren were in Egypt except Arnab. (ব্যতিত)
এখানে except শব্দটি Arnab - noun এর পূর্বে বসে Sentence এর অন্য কোন Word এর সাথে সম্পর্ক স্থাপন করেছে বিধায় এখানে except preposition.

Verb: If we except Jafor, we may lose the game. (বাদ দেয়া)
এখানে except বাদ দেয়া অর্থে বাক্যের verb হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।

Conjunction: I will not let you go except you bless my children.
এখানে except = unless = যদি না অর্থে বাক্যে conjunction হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।

The root of the word puzzled is: puzzle.

প্রথম little – boy -noun কে Modify করার কারণে Adjective
আর ২য় little- know – verb এর Object হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হওয়ায় এটি Pronoun. এখানে little টি little information এর পরিবর্তে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।
আবার এটাকে adverb ও বলা যেতে পারে know – verb কে modify করছে ধরে নিয়ে। তখন বুঝা যাবে কম জানে বা জানার পরিধি কম। কিন্তু এখানে আমরা এটা (ঘ) নিতে পারছি না, কারণ Adverb Option এর সাথে প্রথম little ও Adverb হিসেবে দেয়া আছে, যেটা Adjective ছাড়া অন্য কিছু চিন্তা করার সুযোগ নেই।

Impromptu (adjective, noun, adverb)
