- The full title of this poem is: “Lines Composed a Few Miles above Tintern Abbey”.

- নদীর পাড়ে অবস্থিত একটা চার্চের ভগ্ন অবস্থার দিকে ইঙ্গিত করা হয়েছে কবিতায়। কবির শৈশবের স্মৃতি বিজড়িত স্থান এটি।

• William Wordsworth (1770-1850):
- William Wordsworth একজন ইংরেজ কবি ছিলেন।

- তিনি স্যামুয়েল টেইলর কোলরিজের সঙ্গে মিলিত হয়ে Lyrical Ballads (১৭৯৮) রচনা করেন, যা ইংরেজি রোমান্টিক আন্দোলনের সূচনা করে।
- Lyrical Ballads এর দ্বিতীয় সংস্করণের (১৮০০) ভূমিকায় তিনি যে নীতিমালা ব্যাখ্যা করেন, তা ছিল বিপ্লবাত্মক।
- Wordsworth সাধারণ মানুষের জীবনের ঘটনা ও পরিস্থিতি নিয়ে কবিতা লিখতে চেয়েছিলেন এবং সেই কবিতাগুলোতে সাধারণ মানুষের ব্যবহৃত ভাষা প্রয়োগের চেষ্টা করেছিলেন।
