• As if/ As though যুক্ত sentence এর পূর্বে Present Indefinite Tense থাকলে as if/as though এর পরে Past Indefinite Tense হয় এবং Be verb থাকলে সবসময় were হয়।

• এটি Subjunctive Mood এর নিয়ম। কিছু নির্দিষ্ট verb এর পরে that clause এ সবসময় base form of verb (be/do/go ইত্যাদি) ব্যবহার করতে হয়।

• Subjunctive Rule: কিছু verb যেমন- desire, ask, demand, insist, suggest, prefer, propose, recommend ইত্যাদির পর পরবর্তী clause এ s/es/ing/ed বিহীন verb ব্যবহৃত হয়, এরূপ verb কে বলে Subjunctive.
Structure: Subject+ Subjunctive verb + that + পরবর্তী verb এর base form বসে।
- তাই এখানে base form 'be' বসবে।  

অন্যান্য অপশন কেন ভুল:
ক) are → এটি present tense, subjunctive নয়।
গ) were → এটি past tense, subjunctive নয়।
ঘ) had been → এটি past perfect, এখানে প্রযোজ্য নয়।

- বাক্যের মাঝে wh-word বসে যে প্রশ্ন তৈরি করে তাই embedded question.
- Embedded question, English Grammar এর এমন একটি নিয়ম যেখানে একটি assertive বাক্যের মধ্যে একটি interrogative বা প্রশ্নবোধক বাক্য (indirect question) সন্নিবেশিত করা হয়।
- অর্থাৎ, wh-word দ্বারা subordinate clause শুরু হয় এবং subordinate clause টি কখনোই Interrogative হয় না, সর্বদাই assertive হয়ে থাকে।
- এরা প্রশ্নের মত কিন্তু প্রশ্ন নয়।
- Wh words সমূহ sentence এর মাঝে বসলে প্রশ্ন করার যোগ্যতা হারায়।
- এমন বাক্যের প্রথম অংশে যেকোনো বাক্য এমনকি প্রশ্নবোধক বাক্য ও বসতে পারে।

- Five men দ্বারা এখানে Plural subject বুঝাছে, যার জন্য এর verb plural (were) হয়েছে।
- verb এর past participle from ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে।
- and এর পরের অংশে one দ্বারা singular subject কে বুঝানো হয়েছে যার জন্য verb ও singular (was) ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে।

- Used to — অতীতের অভ্যাস বােঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

গ) dull - একঘেয়ে; নীরস; নিরানন্দ।

ঘ) vivid - জীবন্ত; প্রাণবন্ত; স্পষ্ট ও পরিচ্ছন্ন।

ঙ) tedious - ক্লান্তিকর; অনাকর্ষণীয়; বিরক্তিকর।

বাক্যের অর্থ হচ্ছে - অবশ্যই মাঝে মাঝে আমাদের উদ্দেশ্য পরিবর্তন করতে বা বদলাতে হয়। এখানে বাধ্যবাধকতা বুঝাতে have to ব্যবহৃত হবে।

• Lest এর পরের Clause এ Should/ might/ be বসে।
- শব্দটি মূলত: একটি Conjunction - যার অর্থ পাছে বা সেই ভয়ে।
- Lest negative অর্থ প্রদান করে, এ কারণে Lest যুক্ত বাক্যে কখনো no/not বসে না Lest এরপর subject থাকলে এর should পূর্বে বসাতে হয়।
- modern grammar অনুসারে lest -এর পরে verb -এর base form ও হয়।
- Lest নিজেই Negative হওয়ায় এর পর আর কোনো negative শব্দ no/not/never বসে না।

- Lest + 1st subject + should/might + base form + complement.
- Lest + 1st subject + should/might/be + be + V3 + complement.

Incorrigible: (ব্যক্তি, তার দোষত্রুটি ইত্যাদি) অশোধনীয়; অশোধ্য; অপ্রতিকার্য।
liar: মিথ্যাবাদী; যে মিথ্যা কথা বলে।
Truth: সত্যতা; যথার্থতা।

• প্রশ্নোক্ত বাক্যে Incorrigible বলতে এমন একজনকে বুঝায় যাকে কখনোই পরিবর্তন করা যায় না। অর্থাৎ একজন Incorrigible liar কে কখনো পরিবর্তন করা সম্ভব না। এটা সম্ভব না হলে তার পক্ষে কখনো সত্য (truth) বলা সম্ভব হবে না।

- Incomplete expression.
- "But" missing করে sentence incomplete থেকে যায়।

- "any alternative except"
- Context এ negative meaning দরকার ("no" দরকার "any" নয়)।
- "Except" এর চেয়ে "but" বেশি appropriate এই construction এ। 

ঘ) The equipment is in such poor condition that we have no other alternative to buy new ones.
- "no other alternative"
- Redundant: "alternative" ইতিমধ্যে "other option" বোঝায় "Other" অতিরিক্ত।

Make something into something: to change something into something else.
Example:
- Universities should never be made into mechanical organizations.
- They’ve made the spare room into an office.

Correct sentence: There is no room for doubt in it.

- A possibility of something being true.

- এবং তাদের possessive pronoun টিও singular (his/her) হয়।

- Neither দ্বারা দুইয়ের কোনটিই নয় বুঝানো হয়।

- Sentence এ recently থাকায় sentence টির present perfect tense হবে। Present perfect tense -এ have/has+ verb এর past participle হয়।

 Right form of verb অনুযায়ী,
- Sentence এ Just, just now, already, yet, ever, lately, recently ইত্যাদি থাকলে sentence টি present perfect tense হয়।
- Present perfect tense -এ have/has+ verb এর past participle হয়।
- Present perfect tense এর structure: Subject+ has/have + Verb এর past participle + object.
- Example sentence: He has gone out just now.

রুলস: অর্থের আধিক্য বুঝানোর জন্য positive degree এর শুরুতে very এবং comparative degree এর পূর্বে much/very much বসানো যায়।
প্রশ্নের শূণ্যস্থানের পরের শব্দটি comparative degree. যার পূর্বে অর্থের আধিক্য বুঝানোর জন্য much ব্যবহার করা যায়। তাই উত্তর much.
কিন্তু very ব্যবহার করা হয় positive degree এর শুরুতে।

Bread হলো uncountable noun, তাই plural form “breads” ব্যবহার করা ভুল।
