প্রশ্নে উল্লেখিত বাক্যটিতে verb এর active রূপ ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে। past indefinite = paid (Active) এর passive রূপ was/were paid.
অপশন ‍a তে শুধু verb এর রূপটি মিলেছে।
অপশন b এর বাক্যটিতে active এর রূপ ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।
অপশন c ও d তে যথাক্রমে passive এর present continuous ও present perfect ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।

Active থেকে passive রূপান্তর করার প্রক্রিয়া:
a) Active voice এর subject টি passive voice এর object হয়ে যায়।
b) Active voice এর object টি passive voice এর subject এ রুপান্তর হয়।
c) মূল verb এর past participle হয় এবং subject ও tense অনুসারে auxiliary verb/be verb হয়।

Passive এ auxiliary verb ও main verb এর গঠন:
Present tense:
Present indefinite – am/is/are + V3
Present Continuous- am being/is being/ are being + V3
Present Perfect – has been/have been + V3
Past tense:
Past indefinite – was/were + V3
Past Continuous – was being/were being + V3
Past Perfect- had been + V3
Future tense:
Future indefinite – shall be, will be + V3
Future Continuous - shall be being/ will be being + V3
Future Perfect- shall have been/ will have been + V3
বি: দ্র: active এর গঠনের মতো passive এর গঠনগুলো মুখস্ত করে নিলে active থেকে passive রূপান্তর করা খুবই সহজ হয়ে যাবে।

Although বসিয়ে বাক্যটির অর্থ হবে-
- যদিও ছুটির দিন ছিলো তবুও ডাক্তার হৃদরোগীর উপর জরুরী শল্য চিকিৎসা চালালেন।

অর্থাৎ, সঠিক উত্তর অপশন (গ)।

সঠিক উত্তর: খ) Doesn't he like bread?

• Negative-interrogative বলতে বোঝায় এমন একটি বাক্য যা প্রশ্নবোধক এবং নেতিবাচক উভয়।
- মূল বাক্যে doesn't (negative) আছে।
- Question বানাতে হলে auxiliary verb (does) + subject + main verb + …?
 
মূল বাক্য: He doesn’t like bread. (Negative sentence)
- এটাকে negative-interrogative করতে হবে, অর্থাৎ প্রশ্ন করতে হবে এবং negative-ও থাকতে হবে।
- Present simple tense-এ negative-interrogative করতে subject-এর আগে Doesn’t বসে।
- Verb-এর base form হয় (like).
- সুতরাং: Doesn’t he like bread? → এটাই সঠিক negative-interrogative form.

অন্য অপশনগুলো ভুল কারণ:

ক) Didn't he like bread? → Past tense, মূল বাক্য Present tense.

গ) Don't he like bread? → “Don’t” ব্যবহার করা ভুল, কারণ “he” এর জন্য “doesn’t” ব্যবহার করতে হবে।

ঘ) Wasn't he like bread? → “wasn’t” be verb, সম্পূর্ণ ভুল context.

Correct sentence: Neither the manager nor the employees were present at the meeting.

• Either or, Neither------- nor দ্বারা দুটি Subject যুক্ত হলে পরবর্তী Subject অনুসারে Verb ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- শেষের noun/pronoun টি singular হলে পরবর্তী verb singular হবে।
- শেষের noun/pronoun টি plural হলে পরবর্তী verb plural হবে।-

- Structure: [Either/neither] + noun + [or/nor] + singular noun + singular verb.
- Example: Either he or she cooks dinner.

- Structure: [Either/neither] + noun + [or/nor] + plural noun + plural verb.
- Example: Either he or his friends are going to attend the seminar.

বাক্যগুলো ভুল:
ক) Neither the manager nor the employees present at the meeting.
→ এখানে verb নেই, অর্থাৎ incomplete sentence.

খ) Neither the manager nor the employees is present at the meeting.
→ present tense ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে, কিন্তু context clearly past tense.

ঘ) Neither the manager nor the employees has been present at the meeting.
→ present perfect tense; সাধারণ past event-এর জন্য অপ্রয়োজনীয়।

noun 
- a period of time for which an activity or condition lasts continuously :

Example : I lived in Cairo for a spell.
- She had a brief spell as captain of the team.
- I keep having/getting dizzy spells.
- We had a spell of cold weather in November.

• Correct Answer: You, he and I completed the homework.

• I, You and He হলো Personal Pronoun এর উদাহরণ।
- First person, Second person, Third person- এর Pronoun বা Noun সব যদি একই বাক্যেতে ব্যবহার থাকে তাহলে প্রথমে 2nd person, পরে 3rd person এবং অবশেষে 1st person বসে।
- অর্থাৎ সংক্ষেপে (231- order).

• কিন্তু দোষ স্বীকারের ব্যাপার হলে তখন ব্যবহার করতে হবে (123- order).
- Example: I, you and he are to blame.

• উল্লিখিত বাকি অপশনগুলো,
• (ক) ও (খ) Sentence এ Verb এর আগে সব সময় Person এর Subjective form ব্যবহার করা হয়। তাই Me এর জায়গায় I এবং Him এর জায়গায় he ব্যবহার করতে হবে।

• (গ) Sentence টিতে First person, Second person, Third person- এর Pronoun বা Noun সব যদি একই বাক্যেতে ব্যবহার থাকে তাহলে প্রথমে 2nd person, পরে 3rd person এবং অবশেষে 1st person বসবে।

- অপশন ক তে so boring না হয়ে শুধু boring অথবা such a boring হলে সঠিক হতো।
- অপশন খ তে, Could দ্বারা প্রশ্ন করা হয়েছে, তাই দ্বিতীয় clause-টি noun clause (why I failed) হবে।
- অপশন গ তে, seeing হলে সঠিক হতো।
- অপশন ঘ তে দেওয়া এ ধরণের Conditional Sentence-কে Improbable conditional sentence বলা হয় কারণ এটি বাস্তব তথ্যের বিপরীত একটি তথ্যকে তুলে ধরে। আলোচ্য বাক্যটিতে আমি লম্বা নই, তাই লম্বা হলে আমি কী করতাম সেই কল্পনাটার কথা আমি তুলে ধরছি।
Improbable conditional sentence-এর ক্ষেত্রে If + sub + were + Subject + would + verb structure-টি অনুসরণ করা হয়।
- অপশন ঙ তে am এর জায়গায় do হবে।

• Complete sentence: It is high time we left the shindig.
- Bangla Meaning: এখনই উপযুক্ত সময়, আমরা এই জমায়েত থেকে বের হই।

• It is time/ It is high time এরপর যদি subject থাকে তাহলে verb টি past indefinite tense এ হয়।
- It is high time we left the place.
 - It is high time we stopped corruption.
- It is high time he changed his bad habits.
- It is high time we left the fete.

• It is time/It is high time এরপর যদি subject না থাকে তবে to + verb হয়।

Correct Answer: as soon as.

As soon as: 
English Meaning: (1) english at the same time or a very short time after, (2) in the shortest possible time.
Bangla Meaning: যেইমাত্র; যখনি বা অতি শীঘ্রই। 

"As soon as" অর্থ "যত তাড়াতাড়ি" বা "অতি শীঘ্রই"।
- এটি দুটি ঘটনার মধ্যে তাৎক্ষণিক সম্পর্ক বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

Complete Sentence: The thief ran away as soon as he saw the police.
বাংলা অর্থ: চোরটি পুলিশকে দেখামাত্র পালিয়ে গেল।

অন্যান্য অপশনের ব্যাখ্যা:
ক) unless = যদি না (শর্তসূচক, এখানে প্রযোজ্য নয়)।
খ) so that = যাতে (উদ্দেশ্য প্রকাশ করে, এখানে ঠিক নয়)। 
গ) in spite of = সত্বেও (বিপরীততামূলক, এখানে মানানসই নয়)।

- বাক্যটি বলছে- বিজ্ঞানীর এই আবিষ্কার আধুনিক চিকিৎসায় একটি ______ ছিল।
- এখানে ফাঁকা স্থানে এমন একটি শব্দ বসাতে হবে যা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অর্জন বা অগ্রগতি বোঝায়।
- Milestone অর্থ হলো গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ঘটনা বা অগ্রগতির একটি বড় ধাপ।
-অন্য অপশনগুলো (setback, hindrance, blunder) নেতিবাচক অর্থ বহন করে, যা আবিষ্কারের প্রেক্ষিতে মানানসই নয়।
- তাই অর্থের দিক থেকে খ সবচেয়ে উপযুক্ত।

খ) milestone

ঘ) blunder
- English Meaning: A careless mistake.
- Bangla Meaning: বড় ভুল বা অসাবধানতার কারণে ঘটে যাওয়া ভুল।

বাক্যে had better ব্যবহার করা হয় কোনো পরামর্শ দেওয়ার উদ্দেশ্যে, যে কাজটা করা হয় নি এখনো কিন্তু করা উচিত এই মর্মে।
এবং বাক্যের had better যুক্ত অংশে verb এর base form ব্যবহৃত হয়। 
যেমনঃ I’d better go and get ready. You had better not tell Oliver
যদি বাক্যে একাধিক clause থাকে সেটার verb এর রূপ function বুঝে ব্যবহার করতে হবে। 
যেমনঃ He thought he had better reread that part of the book. 
এই বাক্যে think এর past form ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে কারণ এটা অতীতে একটি কাজ কেউ পছন্দ করবে সেটা বুঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।

প্রশ্নোল্লিখিত বাক্যে - কাউকে একটা কাজ দিয়ে দেওয়া হয়েছে বুঝাতে present perfect tense ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে, যেটার জন্য অভিযোগ জানানোর পরামর্শ দেওয়া হচ্ছে। 

তাই have been given যথাযথ উত্তর। 

• Complete sentence: I look forward to meeting your CEO.

• Use of Look forward:
- Look forward এর পরে 'to' preposition থাকে, তাই এর পর verb এর ing রূপ (V+ing) আসে।

• More Example:
- My friend is looking forward to going to London.
- I am looking forward to seeing you.
- He is looking forward to starting his new job.

এছাড়াও, বাক্যে mind, cannot help, could not help, with a view to, be used to, get used to, worth ইত্যাদির পর কোনো Verb আসলে উক্ত Verb এর সাথে ing যুক্ত হয়।
যেমন:
- He came to Dhaka with a view to visiting a new place.
- Would you mind closing the door?
- I don't mind taking a cup of tea.
- He cannot help laughing out loud.

Either - 
used to indicate a similarity or link with a statement just made.

Example :

- ''You don't like him, do you? I don't either''
- It’s not an easy car to drive, and at $40,000 it’s not cheap either.
- ''I didn't know you could go skiing in Hawaii.'' ''I didn't either.''
- It was a really nice hotel, and it wasn’t very expensive either.
- She doesn’t like eggs and she doesn’t like fish either.
- Parents should not pressurize kids. They must not choose friends for their kids either.

Structure : How + Adjective + a/an + Noun + Subject + Verb
How beautiful a lady she was!
How comfortable the bed is!

Structure : What + a + adjective + noun + Subject + verb
যেমনঃ What a nice bird it was!
What a Crowded place this is!

প্রশ্নে যদি eyes এর পূর্বে a beautiful ব্যবহার করা হয় তবে বাক্যের subject verb agreement করবে না। 
তাই এখানে সঠিক বাক্যটি হবেঃ What beautiful eyes she has!

• Complete sentence: Each of the books, along with the shelf's is dusty.

• Subject-Verb Agreement অনুযায়ী,
- Each of, Either of, Neither of এর পরে plural noun বা pronoun এবং singular verb বসে।

আবার,
- With, together with, along with, as well as, in addition to, accompanied with/by, and not, including, excluding, but, except, ইত্যাদি দ্বারা কোনো noun বা pronoun যুক্ত হলে, verb সর্বদা প্রথম subject (noun/ pronoun) অনুযায়ী হবে।
- অর্থাৎ, প্রথম noun/ pronoun টি singular হলে verb টি singular হবে।
- আবার প্রথম noun/ pronoun টি plural হলে  verb টি plural হবে।

- প্রদত্ত বাক্যে along with দ্বারা যুক্ত 'Each of the books' এর মূল subject হলো- "Each" তাই singular verb (is) ব্যবহৃত হবে।

by dint of - by means of.
He had got to where he was today by dint of sheer hard work. 
He succeeded by dint of his hard labour.

• Correct answer: The picture hung on the wall.
- Bangla meaning: ছবিটি দেয়ালে ঝুলে ছিল।

• প্রদত্ত Sentence টিতে "picture" দেওয়ালে ঝুলছে বলা হয়েছে।
- Hang কোনো কিছু ঝুলানো বা বস্তু ঝুলানো অর্থে এর past form ও past pasrticiple form হয় Hung. 
- অপরদিকে, Hang এর ফাঁশি দেয়া অর্থে এর past form ও past pasrticiple form হয় Hanged.
- তাই কোনো কিছু ঝুলানো বা বস্তু ঝুলানো অর্থে সঠিক উত্তর হবে: The picture hung on the wall.

refrain means to Stop oneself from doing something.
So, The correction will be omitting Not from the sentence.

একাংশ যেমন one-third, one-fourth ইত্যাদি ছাড়া অন্যান্য ভগ্নাংশ plural হয়।
তবে ভগ্নাংশগুলো যদি পরিমাণ বুঝায় তাহলে verb singular হবে এবং সংখ্যা বুঝালে plural হবে।

• Preposition এর পরে সবসময় Pronoun এর object form বসে।
- আর একাধিক object form বসলে, অর্থাৎ First person, Second person, Third person এর Pronoun বা Noun যদি একই বাক্যে ব্যবহার করতে হয় তাহলে প্রথমে 2nd person, পরে 3rd person এবং অবশেষে 1st person বসে।
- অর্থাৎ, সংক্ষেপে (231- order).

• যখন একই ব্যক্তি বা বিষয়ের দুটি ইতিবাচক গুণ বা বৈশিষ্ট্য একসঙ্গে দেখাতে হয়, তখন as well as ব্যবহার করা হয়।
- অর্থ: এবং সেই সঙ্গে / সেইসাথে / এছাড়াও।
- as well as এর পরে যে phrase আসে, সেটা noun phrase বা adjective phrase হয় (এখানে "an effective teacher" হচ্ছে noun phrase). Verb-এর পুরো clause আসে না।
- Subject-এর সঙ্গে verb-এর agreement as well as-এর পরের অংশের ওপর নির্ভর করে না — শুধু প্রথম subject-এর ওপর নির্ভর করে।

অন্যান্য অপশন ভুল:
খ: "and too a very efficient teacher" - ভুল গঠন। "Too" এভাবে ব্যবহার করা যায় না। সঠিক রূপ: "and also a very efficient teacher"

গ: "but he teaches very good in addition" - "but" মানে বিপরীতমুখী (contrast), এখানে কোনো contrast নেই, দুটোই positive quality, "teaches very good" ভুল, adverb হবে very well (teaches very well), তাছাড়া বাক্যের গঠন অস্বাভাবিক ও অপ্রাকৃতিক।

ঘ: "however he teaches very good also" - "however" মানে "তবে" / "কিন্তু", contrast দেখায়, যা এখানে দরকার নেই। "Good" এর জায়গায় "well" হবে।

• Correct Answer: ক) He not only won the race but also broke the record.

- "Not only... but also..." একটি যুক্তিবাচক দ্বৈত রচনা (correlative conjunction) যা সমজাতীয় অংশ (parallel structure) যুক্ত করে - এখানে দুটি verb: "won" এবং "broke".
- ক) অপশনটি সঠিকভাবে এই দুটি verb যুক্ত করেছে: "not only won... but also broke...".
- "Not only" এবং "but also" একই grammatical ধরণের উপাদানের আগে বসে - এটি ভাষার গঠনগত নিয়ম।

​- অন্য অপশনগুলোতে এই রচনাটি ঠিকভাবে অনুসরণ করা হয়নি, তাই সেগুলো ভুল।
- অতএব, শুধুমাত্র ক) He not only won the race but also broke the record. ব্যাকরণগতভাবে সঠিক এবং পরিষ্কার।

ক) belligerent:
- (ব্যক্তি, জাতি ইত্যাদি) যুদ্ধরত; যুধ্যমান।

- Bangla meaning: কম্পিউটার আবিষ্কারের পর থেকে চিপ ও প্রসেসরগুলো ক্রমে ছোট এবং সহজ হয়ে গেছে, কিন্তু কম্পিউটার প্রোগ্রামগুলো ক্রমশ অত্যন্ত জটিল হয়ে উঠেছে।

• উল্লিখিত অপশনগুলো,
- Anomalous - নিয়মবহির্ভূত; ব্যতিক্রমী; (different from what is normal or expected.)
- Efficient - সুদক্ষ; (doing something in a good.)

• বাক্যে having, be, being, get, got, have/has/ had, become, look, remain, এদের পর Verb Past Participle form (V3) হয়।

- “Getting used to something” অর্থ কোন কিছুর সাথে মানিয়ে নেওয়া।
- In this context, the speaker is adjusting to the habit of eating three meals a day.

- I do not usually eat three meals a day, I am getting used to it.
- আমি সাধারণত দিনে তিনবেলা খাই না, তবে এখন একটু একটু করে অভ্যস্ত হচ্ছি।

Other options:
ক) I am using it. –  “Using” means ব্যবহার করা, অভ্যস্ত হওয়া নয়।

খ) I had use to it. –  ভুল structure; “had used to” or “used to” is correct in other contexts, but not here.

গ) I used it. –  “used” মানে ব্যবহার করা — এখানে মানানসই নয়।

• Past Perfect Tense:
- অতীত কালে দুটি কাজ সম্পন্ন হয়ে থাকলে তাদের মধ্যে যেটি আগে ঘটেছিল তা Past perfect tense হয় এবং যেটি পরে হয়েছিল তা Simple Past Tense হয়।

• Structure: Subject + had + verb এর Past Participle Form + বাকি অংশ (যদি থাকে)।

• Example:
- She had left before I arrived.
- They had finished the work.
- The train had already departed.
