- Neither --- nor দ্বারা দুইটা Noun/ Pronoun যুক্ত হলে শেষের noun/ pronoun অনুযায়ী verb বসে।
- যেহেতু প্রশ্নে উল্লিখিত বাক্যের শেষে the students আছে, plural noun আছে, তাই এখানে ‍were হয়েছে।
- "Neither --- nor" expresses a negative relationship between two elements.

• Structure:
• [Either/neither] + noun + [or/nor] + singular noun + singular verb.
- Neither the salesmen nor the marketing manager is in favor of the system.

• [Either/neither] + noun + [or/nor] + plural noun + plural verb.

- "Nor" শব্দটি বাক্যের মাঝে ব্যবহার করা হলে বাক্যের শুরুতে "Neither" বসে।

ঘ) Neither the teacher or the students were late for the class. (এটি ভুল)
- "Neither" ব্যবহার করলে তার সাথে "or" নয়, "nor" ব্যবহার করতে হয়।
- "Either" এর সাথে or ব্যবহার করতে হয়।
