• Adjective clause:
- যে subordinate clause কোনো noun বা pronoun এর পরে বসে ঐ noun বা pronoun কে modify করে তাকে Adjective Clause বলে।
- অর্থাৎ noun এর post modifier হিসাবে adjective clause বসে।

• Adjective Clause দুইটি স্থানে বসতে পারে।
- Object এর Post modifier. (Subject + verb + object + adjective clause).
- Subject এর Post modifier. (Subject + adjective clause + verb + object).

• উল্লিখিত Sentence এ 'that I borrowed from the library' হচ্ছে Adjective Clause. কারণ প্রশ্নে উল্লিখিত বাক্যে Subject (The book) এর Post modifier হিসেবে এটি Adjective Clause.

• Note:
- Adjective clause কে Relative clause ও বলা হয়ে থাকে।
- Relative clause গুলো সাধারণত Relative pronoun (that, who, whose, whom, which, why, when) ইত্যাদি দ্বারা শুরু হয়।
- তবে মনে রাখতে হবে, who এবং which দ্বারা গঠিত clause টি যদি cause Or purpose বোঝায় তবে সেটি Adverbial Clause হিসেবে বিবেচিত হবে।
