- Indirect: I enquired of him whether he would lend me his books.

• Interrogative Sentence এর Direct Speech কে Indirect Speech এ রূপান্তরের নিয়ম:
- প্রথমে Reporting verb - এর subject বসে এবং Reporting verb “said” - এর পরিবর্তে প্রশ্ন করা অর্থে asked/enquired of বসে।
- তারপর Reported speech টি যদি auxiliary verb দ্বারা শুরু হয় তাহলে Inverted comma তুলে দিয়ে linker হিসেবে if/whether বসে।
- তারপর Reported speech - এর subject বসে। subject second person হলে Reporting verb - এর object অনুযায়ী পরিবর্তিত হয়।
- তারপর Direct speech - এ Reporting verb টি past tense -এ থাকলে এবং Reported speech -এর মূল verb -এর পূর্বে shall/will থাকলে Indirect speech - এ should/would -এ পরিবর্তিত হয়।
- Interrogative sentence টি Indirect speech - এ সবসময় assertive sentence - এ পরিণত হবে।

• Structure: Sub + ask/asked + object (যদি থাকে) + linker word + Reported speech - এর subject + verb + বাকি অংশ।
