• ‘to be’ এবং ‘having’—দুটো ক্ষেত্রেই verb-এর past participle ব্যবহৃত হয়
- having + past participle → Active অর্থে ব্যবহৃত হয়, যখন কর্তা নিজেই কাজটি সম্পূর্ণ করেছে। (Perfect participle)
- to be + past participle → Passive structure, যেখানে কর্তার ওপর ক্রিয়ার প্রভাব বোঝানো হয়।

Example:
- The thief ran away, having taken the ornaments.
- The principal desired the notice to be hung.

Complete Sentence -The letters are to be sent by evening.

Other options,
ক) having to be sent:
- এই রূপটি মূলত perfect participle বা gerund structure এ ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- "Having to be sent" হলো একটি participle (verb এর ing form)
- কিন্তু বাক্যে একটি finite verb (সম্পূর্ণ ক্রিয়া) দরকার
- Finite verb মানে যেখানে subject এর সাথে verb এর সম্পর্ক আছে (am, is, are, was, were ইত্যাদি)

গ) having send- এটি ভুল, "having" এর সাথে সবসময় past participle (sent) ব্যবহার করতে হয়, "send" নয়।

ঘ) are to sent- এটি ভুল,

এখানে to sent ভুল; সঠিক হবে to be sent।
